Why you need an app to open your garage door
Picture this: you’ve had a busy day at work, followed by hours of traffic with several stopovers to finish off annoying chores. It’s late at night and you’re beat. You finally pull into your street and are about to arrive home. You pull up to your driveway. But wait… where’s the garage remote? You start rummaging through all the possible spots in your car – the center console, the glove compartment…the floors! The remote is nowhere to be found. With built up frustration you park your car on the street, walk up to the front door, find your keys and finally get in the house. You get to your garage, open the door manually from the inside, go back to your car, restart it and eventually get it parked into your garage.
The next morning you have an early start, and in the morning rush, you forget all about locating that garage remote and by the time you get home again, your faced with the same situation!
That night, when you finally get a chance to ask your family members if anyone has seen the garage remote, your 6 year old son says he took it out of the car over the weekend when he went bike riding. He’s not quite sure where he left it afterwards. Now your searching through the garage trying to find the remote, and when that brings no results, start searching through the house trying to locate your spare.
This scenario can continue, with lots of frustrations and wasted time and money, resulting in you having to eventually buy a new remote.
Now lets re-start the scene: you’ve had a busy day at work, followed by hours of traffic with several stopovers to finish off annoying chores. It’s late at night and you’re beat. You finally pull into your street and are about to arrive home. You pull up to your driveway. But wait… where’s the garage remote?
Safely stored in my house, you immediately know. Instead of a garage remote, you just pull out your smart phone and open your favorite app, Open Sesame. You simply tap “open” and there you have it… your garage door automatically opens. You smile to yourself and at the marvels of technology and the convenience it offers you. You park your car, enter your house and go off to sleep soundly. You’re ready to face the next day.
